I.What is Inline Warrants?

Inline warrant is a new type of derivative product. An Inline Warrant entitles its holder to receive a fixed pre-determined amount which depends on whether the value of an underlying asset is at or falls within (“in-the-range”) or outside (“out-of-the-range”) the upper and lower strike prices or levels at expiry. Normally, price of In-The-Range Inline Warrants are higher than Out-of-The-Range Inline Warrants. Investors who purchase inline warrants would expect markets to remain flat or within a range rather than directional exposure.

There are no knockout feature and margin feature in Inline Warrants. All Inline Warrants would be settled in cash. Inline Warrants could be traded in the market prior to expiry date. Investors will not lose more than their invested capital minus the minimum payoff amount since investors will receive a minimum payoff equal to HK$0.25 even if the Underlying Asset Value falls outside the range.
